Cyclist Knocked Off Bike After ‘Undertaking Car’

A debate is currently raging online after a video emerged of a cyclist being knocked off his bike after ‘undertaking a waiting car.’

People have been arguing about whether or not the cyclist was in the wrong after the incident in Fitzroy, Australia – it took place at a T-junction.

Take a look at the clip below.

According to the Daily Mail:

The 45 second video has divided Facebook users with some blaming the incident on the driver.

‘With the total ignorance of vehicle drivers towards other road users like this I would be very apprehensive about letting my son ride his bike on the road,’ one user wrote.

‘The driver of the turning car is definitely at fault here. However, and it kills me to say it, it would be very difficult for the driver to see the approaching cyclist,’ another added.

While others blamed the cyclist for the collision.

‘The lines for the bike become give way at the intersection. Bike rider at fault for not giving way,’ one Facebook user wrote.
