Chelsea midfielder Billy Gilmour excelled in the 2-0 win over Liverpool and the FA Cup and has not gone unnoticed by Barcelona.
According to The Independent medium, the Catalan giants constantly dispatched their scouts to monitor the young man’s progress in recent years.
The Scottish youngster joined Chelsea from the Rangers, where he progressed through their youth system, in the summer of 2017 and made his debut with the first team this season.
Tuesday night in the Blues’ 2-0 win over the Reds saw Gilmour displaying his technical skills, physical attributes and perseverance.
Barcelona were reportedly aware that the Scottish had the skills required to showcase his potential at the Camp Nou but did not make a move because Chelsea had already secured his signature.
