The car manufacturers in North America are on the slow road to recovery after shutdowns related to pandemics. And Volvo Trucks North America is ready to support the related business with a refreshed Volvo Auto Hauler-the VAH.
“That’s a very niche segment, very dependent on the production of the car,” said Magnus Koeck, vice president, marketing and brand. But Volvo accounts for a significant proportion of those configurations, he added.
The initial launch of the truck was a quiet one due to restrictions associated with Covid-19, but today, during an online presentation to North American media, the OEM was shining a light on the VAH.
The VAH itself is based on the VHD vocational truck that was first unveiled during this year’s Conexpo show in Las Vegas and comes in the VAH 300 daycab, and 400 and 600 variations in sleeper.
